Easy tips to drink more water

We all know that water is healthy! During the busy work week, I sometimes find it a challenge to drink enough. Looking for easy tips to drink more water? I would like to share with you my inspiration to stay well hydrated throughout the day and after exercise and to pimp your glass of water with an original and sustainable touch, cheers!

My feel good ritual

Rise 'n shine baby! The morning is the ideal me-time moment of the day for me, I'm not a snoozer and like to start my day early with a fresh head. My feel good ritual? A glass of warm water with unfiltered apple vinegar or lemon juice. When I get home from our walk with Billy, I like to make something heart-warming to drink, like this ginger-turmeric infusion or fresh hibiscus tea with apple, orange and cinnamon . Also great to relax in the evening... Tips for easy drinking throughout the day

Water is life and important to feel good about yourself! Adjusting small things in your daily drinking and eating habits can sometimes give you many health benefits! For example, it is recommended to trust your thirst feeling and then drink immediately until you are more than full. That can sometimes seem like a lot, but it is the best way for your body to absorb fluids. For example, I do not drink small amounts during exercise, but all at once after exercise. You can learn to listen to your thirst feeling! 1.5 liters of water per day is only a general recommendation, your needs may vary . After exercise, you need more water to stay hydrated than during a less intensive activity.

Other practical tips:
  • Place your water bottle or glass directly in your field of vision or within reach;
  • Choose a smaller water bottle that empties faster, as this motivates you to drink more;
  • Treat yourself to the most beautiful drinking bottle that will make you instantly happy;
  • Always take a drink with you for the journey ;
  • Always use a water carafe when setting the table ;
  • Hot or cold water doesn't matter, do what feels good to you;
  • You drink more with a straw ;
    (ecological alternatives in cardboard, bamboo, glass or metal)
  • Make funky ice cubes with pieces of fruit, fresh herbs or edible flowers;
  • Choose foods that contain a lot of water , such as cucumber, lettuce, watermelon, tomato, zucchini, ...
  • Feel free to vary with other watery recipes, such as soup .
