Chop the peanuts very finely.
Mix the butter, brown sugar, cane sugar, peanut butter, flour, baking powder, bicarbonate, salt, and egg.
Stir the peanuts into the dough.
Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Scoop balls of dough onto the baking sheet with an ice cream scoop and flatten them.
Cut the chocolate into small pieces.
Sprinkle the chocolate over the cookies.
Bake the cookies for 12 to 15 minutes in the oven, depending on the thickness.
Let the cookies cool on a wire rack.
