What do you need?

Quantity:

Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature
280 ml peanut oil
1 large free-range egg
1 tbsp mustard
Juice of 0.5 lemon
Pepper and salt
1 tbsp vinegar

Preparation method

How do you make this?

Put all ingredients at room temperature into a tall, narrow measuring cup that your immersion blender fits into, check this in advance. 😉

Hold your immersion blender straight to the bottom of your measuring cup.

Start mixing and keep mixing at the bottom for a little while, then gradually move up and mix all the oil in, this takes no longer than 2 min.

Taste and season if necessary.

Pour into a jar with a lid and store in the refrigerator.

This fresh mayonnaise can be kept refrigerated for about 10 days.
