What do you need?

1 package of dim sum wrappers

Filling:
225 g raw freshwater shrimp
1 tsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp peanut oil
0.5 tsp white pepper powder
1 tsp sesame oil
0.5 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp grated ginger
1 tbsp finely chopped bamboo shoots
2 tbsp finely chopped spring onion
1 tsp cornstarch

Sauce:
4 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp sesame seeds
1 tsp grated garlic
1 tsp sugar

Extra steamed vegetables:
2 packs of bimi, washed and chopped smaller.

Preparation method

How do you make this?

Put the freshwater shrimp in a food processor and blend finely. You can also chop everything very finely if you don't have a food processor.

Mix this together with the rest of the filling ingredients in a bowl.

Put the shrimp mixture in a bowl and place a spoon beside it and a small bowl of water.

Lightly grease your steamer basket with peanut oil.

Take a wrapper and hold it in your hand, dip your finger in water and lightly moisten the top side of the wrapper, place a mound of shrimp filling in the middle.

Fold it closed and press around well so you have a half-moon shape.

Fold the top side again into pleats and place them in your steamer basket.

Steam for 20 minutes with the vegetables.

Meanwhile, mix everything for the sauce together.

Serve the steamed dim sums with the vegetables and the sauce.
