1 Shokupan
1 yolk
1 tbsp water
50 g sesame seeds (optional)

Preparation method

How do you make this?

After the last hour rising from the Shokupan dough, divide it into 12 equal pieces. Bol them up and divide them on 2 baking trays, well apart, let them rise for 30 minutes or more until they have doubled, press them a bit by one with the flat hand a bit flatter. Preheat the oven to 180 °.

Brush the sandwiches with a beaten yolk and water, evenly with a soft brush. Bake them for 15 to 19 minutes until they are nicely golden brown. Let them cool on a rack.

If you are going to serve them, just before all other fillings are ready, cut them lengthwise and bake them in an anti-stick pan, fat is not necessary, on the cutting edge so that it becomes nice and golden brown and crispy. Fill with your favorite burgers, sauces and salads and serve immediately.
