Preheat the oven to 200°.
Cut the buns in half, fry the cut side with some butter in the pan or put them in the oven just before you fill them.
Cut the beef patties in half, roll them into balls, and flatten them completely between plastic wrap, so you have 8 thin large meat patties, season with pepper and salt, and fry them briefly and vigorously on both sides.
Place the cheese slices on top and put them in the oven to let them melt.
Place them double between the warmed bun, serve with mayo, ketchup, fresh onion and pickles, and the lettuce in between.
Sink your teeth into it, enjoy!
