Another way to get your kids to reach for fruit: make candies out of it. Super easy: just peel the fruit, slice it, let it dry, and you're done. Set out different bowls on the table during the birthday party or make a long garland of fruit. The mango candies are Grace's favorite. I often send them in thin strips in her lunchbox.
Preheat the oven to 100 °C.
Place a sheet of baking paper on a baking tray.
Peel the apple. Remove the core with an apple corer and slice the apple into 0.5 cm thick slices. Place the slices on the baking tray.
Peel the banana and cut it into long strips of 0.5 cm thick. Place the strips on the baking tray.
Peel the mango and slice it into 0.5 cm thick slices. Place the slices on the baking tray.
Put the baking tray in the oven until the fruit is dried (at least 1 hour).
