What do you need?

1 knob of butter
8 black puddings
1 kg Jonagold apples
2 packs of smiley faces

Preparation method

How do you make this?

Peel the apples, remove the core, and cut into pieces.

Place them in a large pot with a lid, add 250ml of water, and let simmer for 15min covered.

If you find there is still too much moisture, continue to simmer uncovered.

Mash them vigorously with a masher until you get a nice compote with some pieces left in.

Cut the black pudding into thick round slices of 1.5 to 2 cm.

Make 3 cuts in each slice to form a star, about 1cm from the bottom so they don't fall apart.

Fry on both sides until crispy in butter over medium heat.

Fry the smiley faces or also cook them in a pan with some oil or in an Airfryer.

Plate the star-shaped puddings with the smiley faces and lots of apple sauce on the side. 😊

Serve the rest of the apple sauce and pudding on the table.
