Kitchen must haves
Ingredients

What do you need?

Quantity: 15 to 20 marshmallows

50 ml of water
75 g sugar
12 g gelatin leaves
2 to 3 proteins
1 TL pink dye powder
½ cup of coconut flakes

50 ml of water
75 g sugar
12 g gelatin leaves
2 to 3 proteins
1 TL pink dye powder
½ cup of coconut flakes

Preparation method

How do you make this?

Take a cooking pot and pour in the water and sugar. Bring the mixture to the boil.

Let the gelatin leaves soak in cold water for a few minutes.

Put the proteins in a fat -free bowl and beat them stiff.

Boil the sugar mixture until it starts to color and remove the pot from the heat.

Drain the soaked gelatin leaves or squeeze them out and add them to the warm sugar mixture. Stir well until the gelatin is completely dissolved.

While beating the warm sugar mixture gradually add to the protein foam.

Keep beating until the mixture has cooled.

Fill a piping bag with a large solid nozzle and spray beautiful balls of foam on baking paper.

For half of the marshmallows you simply have them sprayed "natural". For the other half you add a little (pink) dye powder, let the marshmallows set in the fridge and then roll them through the coconut chips. You can also make the coconut pink for the pink marshmallows.

For an extra playful touch you can alternate the marshmallows with fruit and sew them on a cord. Hang them on a low branch of a tree and let the game start!
