How do you make this?

Cut the comté into square slices about 0.5 cm thick.

Sprinkle a thin layer of white sugar over each slice of cheese.

Use a bunzen burner to caramelize the sugar into a beautiful golden brown layer. Make sure you don't heat the cheese too much so that it retains its shape.
